The Monster - Fringeworld Festival 2018 - 2019

The Monster is the coming together of performance and wearable sculpture. Performed live, the monster is a manifestation of my rejection of the hegemonic structures of feminine expression in the cabaret industry. Made out of discarded costume pieces, wigs, worn-out tights, this tongue-in-cheek rubbish beast represents the relationship to the performer being chewed up, spat out and re-birthed into the non-conforming body they choose to express in.
